Simple 3-Step Writing Routine for Home or the Classroom
1. Talk Before Writing (2 Minutes)
Look at the picture together. Ask open-ended questions: “What do you see?”, “Where do you think they are going?”, or “How would you feel if you met that alien?” Speaking the story out loud organizes their thoughts.
2. Hunt the Word Bank (1 Minute)
